SPEAKER #2

Michael Schidlow, Esq., CAMS

Anti-Money Laundering & Employee Misconduct

The theme of the lecture presentation is the overlap of anti-money laundering investigations with incidents of employee misconduct. On an individual basis and as what often develops into a pattern of corporate policy of wrongful/illegal behavior, incidents of AML and corporate policy violations are either instigated by or punctuated with incidents of employee misconduct. Given the heavy emphasis that is now legislatively required on identification of a bank’s customers and correspondent relationships, it is the speaker’s contention that equal attention should be given to the employees of the banks, their backgrounds and their job training.
